The Children’s Local Councils aim to provide children with a safe space where they can give their opinions on matters that interest them. The councils are open for all children ages 6-16.

You can join by filling in the form here.

You can plan fun events for your locality, advocate for important causes, or share your thoughts on how to improve our community. You will have the power to change your communities!

We know that some children’s schedules are packed, and so, councils meet once a month, after school, on different days of the week, for around an hour to an hour and a half. Dates of the meetings will be communicated to you as soon as you apply.

Contact us to see when your locality’s council is meeting next.

These councils are a safe space dedicated for children only, so we appreciate if parents respect this wish.

Thank you for thinking of our Foundation and project for your course hours. Kindly contact us here to see if we are able to accommodate your request.

The Children’s Councils is a project of The Malta Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society, which was established in 2014 by Her Excellency Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, Former President of Malta. Find out more about our Foundation here.
